Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks; for
this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

	Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, That calls me from a world of care, And bids me at my Father's throne, Make all my wants and wishes known! In seasons of distress and grief, My soul has often found relief, And oft escape the tempter's snare By thy return sweet hour of prayer.
	Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer! The joys I feel, the bliss I share, Of those whose anxious spirits burn With strong desires for thy return! With such I hasten to the place Where God my Savior shows His face, And gladly take my station there, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
	Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer! Thy wings shall my petition bear To Him whose truth and faithfulness Engage the waiting soul to bless. And since He bids me seek His face, Believe His Word and trust His grace, I'll cast on Him my every care, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Reflections On Prayer

How is your prayer life? Well, I have to admit that mine could stand some improvement, and I don't even have a good excuse for it. Our quiet time with God is so important, yet so many of us seem to neglect to pray like we should. Prayer life is so vital to our growth as Christians. After all, we are talking about developing a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but no relationship can prosper without good communication. If we don't talk with and listen to Jesus on a daily basis, how can we become closer to Him? How can we grow as Christians? We can't. Our spiritual growth is dependent upon our spiritual diet, and to insure proper nourishment, we must be fed, namely with prayer and Bible study.
