"Night turned into day" "The stone was rolled away" "Hope rose with the dawn" (Words to "Then Came the Morning" by Gloria Gaither) |

On the morning after the Sabbath had passed, three women entered the garden of Joseph of Arimathea, grief-stricken over the loss of their Savior. As they approached the tomb of Jesus, they saw that the stone had been rolled away. They feared that someone had taken His body, but soon their fear and sadness would turn to joy, their doubt and despair would be replaced with eternal hope, their questions would all be answered, and the darkness would be overcome by a great and glorious light, the light of the world!

Jesus

He Has Risen
The angel said to the women,
"Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus,
who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.
Come and see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell
His disciples: 'He has risen from the dead.' "
Matthew 28:5-7a NIV

"His Name is Jesus"
by Marcia G. Phyfer

Jesus
Jesus, That Name
Jesus, King of the Jews
Jesus, The Lamb of God
Jesus, The Light of the World
He
brings joy to even the saddest of souls,
No matter the depth of our sorrows and woes.
Wiping away the trails of our tears,
He gives calming assurance to alleviate fears.
He's our hope in the midst of utter despair,
Embracing the heart with His sweet, tender care.
He floods with great light our deepest, dark places,
Restoring the glow to once tired, forlorn faces.
His blessed assurance erases our doubt,
Calming life's storms both within and without.
He's the light of the world shining down from above,
Warming cold hearts with His merciful love.
His name is Jesus, what a wonderful name!
He's the author of mercy, the Lamb that was slain.
The King of the Jews, the Messiah has come.
His name is Jesus, He's God's only Son.
He's the Light of the World, He's the Savior of all,
His name is Jesus... Have you answered His call?
