O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon
his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms
unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let
the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his
strength: seek his face evermore.
Psalms 105:1-4 KJV

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks; for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is
good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:1 KJV

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all
ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come
before his presence with singing. Know ye that
the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us,
and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the
sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with
thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For
the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalms 100:1-5 KJV

This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 118:24 KJV

Thanks to Mr. Bill Jansen for sending me the following "ABC Poem" in an e-mail

PRAISING GOD FOR LIFE!

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame

Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know

Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee

Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone

Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command

Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high

Yes, there'll be good times and
yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...
where none are ever sad!

Be
sure to take time out of your busy schedules to reflect on those things
for which you are thankful. Then talk to God and tell Him just how much
you appreciate the bountiful blessings which He has bestowed upon you.
A Prayer Of Thanksgiving
by Marcia Phyfer

Thank You, Dear Father
For all that You've done,
For sending our Savior,
Your own precious Son,
Who showed us the love
We should have for each other,
For all of our neighbors,
Our kinsmen, our brother.

Thank You, Dear Jesus
For taking our place,
Revealing Your infinite
Mercy and grace,
As You suffered and died
On Calvary's tree,
Redeeming the likes of
Poor sinners like me.

Thank You, Dear Father
For giving in love
Your Sweet Holy Spirit
Sent down from above,
To offer us comfort
In our times of sorrow,
Delivering peace and
Bright hope for tomorrow.

Thank You, Dear Lord
For hearing our prayer,
For giving us strength
As our burdens You bear,
And forgiving our sins
Confessed to You now;
We lay them before You
As humbly we bow.

Thank You, Dear Lord
For Your gifts beyond measure,
And help us to use them
For Your greatest pleasure.
Convict us, Your servants,
To serve others still,
With love and compassion
In Your perfect will.

For bountiful blessings, we thank You today,
As in the name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.

Grace and peace to you
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank my God every time I remember you. In
all my prayers
for all of you, I always pray with
joy because of your partnership
in the gospel from
the first day until now, being confident of this,
that he who began a good work in you will carry
it on
to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:2-6
